Rumi Café respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through rumicafe.co.ke, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you contact us, join the loyalty programme, suggest an event or RSVP, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, message, event details and loyalty information. We also use basic technical protections to detect automated spam submissions.
How we use information
- To answer enquiries and reservation requests.
- To administer event RSVPs and community suggestions.
- To operate the Rumi Café loyalty programme.
- To protect the website and forms from misuse.
We do not sell personal information. We use it only for the purpose for which it was submitted and for reasonable café administration.
Where information is stored
Form submissions are processed through Google Apps Script and stored in a Google Sheet controlled by Rumi Café. Google may process this information according to its own service terms and privacy practices.
Third-party content on this website
The map on our Visit page loads only after you choose to open it. When you do, map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap, which will receive your IP address in order to serve them. We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and no map data is loaded unless you click. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts. This website uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant enquiry, event, loyalty membership or legal obligation. Access to administrative records is restricted through authenticated staff access.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete information you submitted, subject to any information we must retain by law. You may also ask to leave the loyalty programme or stop receiving event follow-ups.
